…goals…focus…achievement…
It’s a new year and you’ve got your goals all planned out for 2010. Have you considered creating a theme that will remind you of your goals?
Designing your ultimate theme is a personal slogan or tagline that will be a reminder of where you are right now and where you want to be by the end of 2010.
My name is Kelli Claypool and my theme for 2010 is The Year of Fire. My goal is to “burn” old habits that keep me from moving forward and “ignite” new desires that will allow me to achieve my goals.
I tend to procrastinate A LOT, so I plan to “burn” the habit of waiting to the last minute to start a project. I want to “ignite” a better system to keep me focused and organized so that I do not allow myself to procrastinate.
I have some outstanding debt that I want to pay off this year, which means for me to be successful in becoming debt-free, I have no choice but to burn the old and ignite the new. I know that I cannot afford to procrastinate if want to achieve my goal of debt freedom.
Another thing I want to burn this year is my habit of having a cluttered office. I want to burn files that are more than 7 years old. (here’s a secret, I still have paid bill receipts from 1986…that’s pathetic!). The old magazines and books that I no longer use can be given or thrown away.
Another thing that I want to ignite this year is strengthening my faith. 2009 was a tough year emotionally due to caring for an ill husband. Depression set in and was hard to overcome at times. Because of this, I depended on my faith but spent very little time developing my spiritual walk.
So The Year of Fire is all about me focusing on what I want to accomplish and igniting a spark on creating new ways for me to reach and accomplish my goals.
